Biography

Silent Parrot Press was established by Glen Skien in Mackay, North Queensland in 2000. Primarily it served as a studio and gallery in which fine art prints were produced & exhibited .
Workshops & classes in printmaking techniques, book binding, box making & life drawing were the backbone of the studio.

Currently the press is operational in name as Glen has moved to Brisbane to complete post graduate study and work as a tutor in the printmaking department of QCA, Griffith University.
Glen has over 20yrs experience in the arts industry where he has worked as an exhibiting artist, a member of the exhibitions team with Artspace Mackay and facilitated workshops for secondary school children, university students & various types of community groups.
He has exhibited widely and his work is held in both private and public collections throughout Australia and Japan.
