ophelia's vest...

Several years ago I made a series of etchings that went by the title of 'Opelia's Vest'...it remains the seed of an idea that hasn't really been fully developed...the concept started with a play that I wrote and was performed as part of an artist in residency program at a high school in North Queensland...my research included dozens of interviews with women actors who had played the role of Shakespeare's Ophelia...I was interested in finding out how playing such a role affected them...if at all...there is a holistic portrayal of womanhood within Ophelia that has always interested me... there is a part of Ophelia in every woman....just as there is a part of Hamlet in every man....sp
