Alterations...

'letter from country'....encaustic/collage + envelope

A late night Gold Coast train bringing me back from the dark tunnel of cyber space...nice to know I was missed by one or two fellow bloggers...I had almost given up on the possibility of returning to' the art of blogging'...as if fate had intervened...but I surprised myself by actually missing the extension of reflecting on daily experiences...the diaristic routine it provides...I am in the throes of preparing for a show at the Tweed Heads regional gallery...a re-configuring of my masters show from 2011...not always comfortable with revisiting work from the past...I don't think it is necessarily a good thing but I tend to move on rather quickly once an idea or narrative is exhausted...so when I do return to past work I can't help but find ways of adjusting and altering...mostly deciding to pare things back...'letter from country'... is the  beginnings of this paring back...sp

  5. Do we ever know where we are going? Where we have been? Sometimes it is fun, and maybe the only time, we get a chance to do it again, differently.
