'Collectings'...some may consider the simplicity of this final exhibition a little underwhelming...perhaps I have exhausted my descriptions...which is really what one is continually attempting to do... the presentation or rather the re-presentation of these collected objects and surfaces in their most fundamental light, seemed to be the most appropriate way to end the series of transitional shows...in presenting most of what I collect in the same form that I pin to the studio walls there is very little lost between the act of collecting and the dialogue that transpires...very little lost in translation...in a sense the conversation has not moved beyond the studio walls...the 'collectings' are not the collecting of one-self...but that of the 'other-self'...the one closest to the surface...the flesh of things...a certain rawness,,instinct and intuition...before a word or thought is suggested...but the writing of a single word changes everything...'the europeans'... 'nostalgia'...'miscellaneous'....'the americans'...suggestions of belonging to something beyond the collected...sp
